Arm Lift

The goal of arm lift surgery is to restore the shape and firmness of the upper arms by removing sagging tissue and excess skin and fat to improve the overall appearance of the arms. Patients who might be interested in arm lift surgery are those who have upper arm skin that sags or causes irritation. Typically, arm lift surgery requires an incision on the inner part of the upper arm. Some patients may only need a smaller incision in the armpit and down the upper arm a few inches. During your consultation, Dr. Crofts will address your concerns and determine if arm lift surgery is right for you.

As a board-certified plastic surgeon with over 20 years of experience, Dr. Crofts has performed hundreds of arm lift procedures. Arm lift surgery takes a very skilled and experienced surgeon to remove and reposition upper arm skin all while preserving nerves and minimizing incisions. Dr. Crofts’ artistic eye and experience with arm lift procedures will give you the confidence in knowing he can help restore the upper arms to a more youthful state in the safest way possible.

At your consultation, you will be able to discuss questions and review what you would like changed through surgery. Dr Crofts will discuss the details of the procedure and create a surgical plan with you. Our office staff will provide you with a surgery quote and can help schedule a surgery date at that time.

You will have a pre-operative appointment three weeks prior to surgery. At this appointment, you will sign consents, discuss any last minute questions and concerns, and get further pre- and post-surgery instructions.

Your surgery will take place at an accredited facility. This is generally a 4 to 5 hour procedure and you will be released home on the same day.

Generally, you will be seen 1 to 3 days after surgery and again 4 to 5 days later. Further post operative appointments will continue and be dependent upon your recovery.

Recovery for arm lift procedure is generally 4-6 weeks of no lifting or exercising. Patients need to have their arms elevated at a 45 degree angle while resting for the first couple weeks. At Aesthetica, post operative care and safety is our number one priority. We see patients frequently after their procedure to assure healing and recovery is on track. Patients have 24 hour access to an on-call nurse for emergencies.

Feel the results, see the difference, and enjoy the confidence.
