What Is A Breast Reduction Surgery?
The goal of breast reduction surgery is to reduce and lift the breasts by removing excess tissue and repositioning the nipples and surrounding tissue to improve the overall appearance of the breasts. Patients who have nipples that sit below the breast fold or point downwards, have breasts that are asymmetric, have breasts that are heavy and dense causing neck or back pain, and/or have breasts that sag or feel droopy will benefit from a breast reduction surgery. Dr. Crofts will review different types of breast reduction techniques and give a recommendation for surgery at your consultation.
The Aesthetica Difference
As a board-certified plastic surgeon with over 20 years of experience, Dr. Crofts has performed over a thousand breast reductions. Breast reduction surgery takes a very skilled and experienced surgeon to reposition the nipples and reduce breast tissue all while preserving nerves and minimizing incisions. Dr. Crofts’ artistic eye and experience with breast reduction procedures will give you the confidence in knowing he can maximize your results and reduce and lift the breasts in the safest way possible.
Journey To Confidence
At your consultation, you will be able to discuss questions and voice what you would like changed through surgery. Dr Crofts will discuss the details of the procedure and create a surgical plan with you. Our office staff will provide you with a cosmetic surgery quote or work with your insurance to get your procedure scheduled.
You will have a pre-operative appointment three weeks prior to surgery. At this appointment, you will sign consents, discuss any last minute questions and concerns, and get further pre- and post-surgery instructions.
Your surgery will take place at an accredited facility. This is generally a 3 to 5 hour procedure and you will be released home on the same day.
Generally, you will be seen 1 to 3 days after surgery and again 4 to 5 days later. Further post operative appointments will continue and be dependent upon your recovery.
Recovery for breast reduction surgery is generally 2 weeks. At Aesthetica, post operative care and safety is our number one priority. We see patients frequently after their procedure to assure healing and recovery is on track. Patients have 24 hour access to an on-call nurse for emergencies.

I can’t recommend Dr. Croft and his office more! I had the best experience with my breast augmentation. I did so much research and visited a ton of different plastic surgeons before choosing. Dr. Croft was by far my favorite and I’d go to him again!
I just left the office of DrCrofts for my pre op appointment and I had to leave a review because I couldn't be more excited. I went in very nervous about my upcoming Tummy Tuck and Breast Augmentation It was late as I was their last appointment of the day and they did not make me feel rushed. They took their time and made me so comfortable. but they eased my concerns with answering all my questions. It was a good experience and I'm looking forward to the big day.
Had a wonderful experience with Dr Crofts and his team! I am 8 weeks post op and recovering nicely from a tummy tuck and breast augmentation. I had help all the way through my recovery from Dr Crofts and his nurses whenever I had questions or concerns. I would recommend Dr Crofts and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery to anyone with plastic surgery needs.
