Breast Lift

The goal of breast lift surgery is to restore the shape and firmness of the breasts by removing sagging tissue and repositioning the nipples and surrounding tissue to improve the overall appearance of the breasts. Patients who have nipples that sit below the breast fold or point downwards, have breasts that are asymmetric, and/or breasts that sag or feel droopy will benefit from a breast lift surgery.

Types of breast lift techniques:

  • A crescent lift: an incision made on the top of the areola to move the nipples up 1-2cm.
  • A circum-areolar or “donut” lift: an incision made around the entire areola.
  • A vertical or “lollipop” lift: an incision is made around the nipple, down the breast.
  • An inverted T lift or “anchor” lift: an incision is made around the nipple, down the breast, and around the base of the whole breast. This lift addresses the most severe ptosis (sagging).

It is not uncommon that a patient will need a lift at the same time as their breast augmentation surgery to optimize their result. During your consultation, Dr. Crofts will address your concerns, and determine which breast lift technique will provide you with your ideal results.

As a board-certified plastic surgeon with over 20 years of experience, Dr. Crofts has performed thousands of breast lifts. Breast lift surgery takes a skilled and experienced surgeon to reposition the nipples and breast tissue while preserving nerves and minimizing incisions. Journey To Confidence

At your consultation, you will be able to discuss questions and voice what you would like changed through surgery. Dr Crofts will discuss the details of the procedure and create a surgical plan with you. Our office staff will provide you with a surgery quote and work with you to schedule a surgery date.

You will have a pre-operative appointment three weeks prior to surgery. At this appointment, you will sign consents, discuss any last minute questions and concerns, and get further pre- and post-surgery instructions.

Your surgery will take place at an accredited facility. This is generally a 3 hour procedure and you will be released home on the same day.

Generally, you will be seen 1 to 3 days after surgery and again 4 to 5 days later. Further post operative appointments will continue and be dependent upon your recovery.

Recovery for breast lift procedure is 2 weeks of no lifting or exercising. Patients typically feel good enough to go back to work at around 4-5 days after their surgery. At Aesthetica, post operative care and safety is our number one priority. Patients are seen frequently after their procedure to assure healing and recovery is on track. Patients also have 24 hour access to a nurse on call for emergencies.

Feel the results, see the difference, and enjoy the confidence.
